By Alleef Ashaari|July 28, 2023|0 Comment
I’m sure you won’t want to waste time sifting through HBO GO’s extensive catalogue of shows and movies just to decide on what to watch. The streaming site updates its site every day, week, and month with new content, so I’m here to save your precious time.
Here are my personal recommendations and highlights for HBO GO August 2023 lineup and how to fill up your free time with worthwhile content at home:
This electrifying story of good versus evil is set against the heady backdrop of Thailand in the 1950s in the tumultuous wake of World War ll. Here, corrupt politicians, magic-wielding bandits and military generals all vie for control in a vicious struggle that threatens to spiral the country into anarchy — with one man at the centre of it all. Stars Ananda Everingham, Mario Maurer and Phakin Khamwilaisak (Tono).
Premieres Friday, August 4 at 10pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.
A tale of outsized ambition, following the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood. Stars Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo and Li Jun Li.
Premieres Saturday, August 5 at 10pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.
The Halloween franchise reaches its epic conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against Michael Myers. Only one of them will survive. Stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Rohan Campbell, Will Patton, Kyle Richards and James Jude Courtney.
Premieres Saturday, August 12 at 10pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.
Zooey Deschanel is on a mission to solve everyday food dilemmas by asking the tough questions we all have about what we eat. In the supermarket and in our own kitchens, Zooey explores common food mysteries and reveals the shocking truths big food manufacturers want to hide as she uncovers simple solutions to the question, “What am I eating?”.
Premieres Friday, August 18 on HBO GO.
Everyone’s favourite swashbuckling feline returns for a new adventure in the Shrek universe as Puss in Boots goes on a grand quest to find a magical Wishing Star. Stars the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Harvey Guillen, Florence Pugh and John Mulaney.
It was one of the best movies of 2022 and definitely worth watching. Check out my review by heading over here.
