Secret Invasion Episode 6 Finale Breakdown & Easter Eggs
The sixth and final episode of Secret Invasion is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia. I’ll be discussing heavy spoilers so if you haven’t seen it or want to avoid spoilers, now’s your chance to stop reading.

The synopsis reads:
“In Marvel Studios’ new series ‘Secret Invasion,’ set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”

The Harvest is the DNA of all the Avengers, including Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel. Nick Fury decides to give it to Gravik in exchange for Gravik and the rogue Skrulls leaving Earth forever. He doesn’t care what the Skrulls use the Harvest for, as long as they leave humanity alone.
When Gravik checks the Harvest, it contains more than just the DNA of the Avengers. It even contains the DNA of villains such as Thanos and Abomination, which is crazy to think about.
Both Gravik and Gi’ah now potentially have the powers of all the Avengers and several of their villains. That would make both of them two of the most powerful beings in the MCU.
In their fight, Gi’ah uses powers from Frost Giants, Korg, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel and more. Gi’ah even uses Mantis’ powers of mental manipulation to make him go to sleep.
Gi’ah ultimately defeats Gravik by using Captain Marvel’s powers to shoot him through the chest.
Nick Fury kills the Skrull impersonating Rhodey.
After killing Gravik, Gi’ah saves all the humans at the Skrull base, including Rhodey and Agent Ross.
This is interesting.
It seems like Rhodey has been captured by the Skrulls for a long time.
It looks like he still can’t walk due to his injury from the end of 2016’s Captain America Civil War.
Does that mean that the Rhodey who we saw fight against Thanos since 2018’s Avengers Infinity War up until now has actually been a Skrull all along?
If that’s true, he’s been imprisoned by the Skrulls for many years!
Uh oh, that doesn’t sound good.
All “off-world born species enemy combatants” is too broad of a demographic, considering that this could apply to any non-human individual.
Technically, heroes like Thor, Captain Marvel and even Ms. Marvel could potentially be under that category. Could the US government be hunting them down?
It’s also interesting how Nick Fury refers to him as a “one-term president”, considering that we already know that Dermot Mulroney’s President Ritson will be replaced by Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross becoming the new President sometime soon.
This is another interesting turn of events.
Perhaps the UK will form their own superpowered organization just like in the comics.
In the comics, the British formed the government agency MI13, which is dedicated to protecting the United Kingdom from supernatural threats. The team included Captain Britain, the Black Knight, Dr. Faiza Hussain and even a Skrull simply named John The Skrull (because he impersonated John Lennon).
This is no coincidence, considering that the original Captain Britain And MI13 comics by Paul Cornell and Leonard Kirk were released in the direct aftermath of the Secret Invasion comics.
Coincidence, I think not? You heard it here from the ComicsLord.
What this means is that the so-called “Secret Invasion” is far from over.
The Kree apparently wants peace with the Skrulls. That’s probably what will lead into the events of The Marvels movie, which will feature the return of the Kree as the main antagonists. The Marvels will premiere on 10 November 2023.
