Tekken 8 Closed Network Test Is Still Being Played Beyond Test Period, But Why?
The Tekken 8 Closed Network Test has come to an end since this weekend (28th to 30th July), which means players should not be able to play the network test right now.
However, some players have been checking the game out past the designated test window via hacking. Of course, publisher Bandai Namco has caught wind of this and has posted a stern warning for these ne’er do wells.
“We have noticed that some players have accessed the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test and played the game beyond the Closed Network Test period. Such actions breach the terms of service and the Tekken World Tour Code of Conduct. Also, the unauthorized download or distribution of the game is illegal.
Please note that any player found to have accessed the CNT without authorization may be deemed ineligible for the upcoming Tekken World Tour and other official tournaments. Your cooperation in preserving the fairness and competitive integrity of our competition is highly valued.”

This isn’t the first time this happened for a trial period of a fighting game. The Street Fighter 6 closed beta has its fair share of players using the cracked version of the beta, playing the game beyond its intended beta test period.
Tekken 8 has no release date as of yet, though that may be revealed at this year’s EVO. The game will be out for PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
