Led by the original game’s producer, Yoshimi Yasuda, it will be developed by “a combination of development staff from the original version, including Yasuda as producer, and new development staff from Dragami Games”. According to Yasuda, the remake will feature more realistic graphics and a brand new soundtrack (because they lost the license to the original game’s music).

In a statement, they said:

“Although development of RePOP was carried out with the intention of a 2023 release, our commitment to providing the best possible quality experience to our players led us to making the hard decision to extend the development period in order to ensure this. We sincerely apologize to all who had been waiting for the latest installment in the Lollipop Chainsaw series, and kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.”

Lollipop Chainsaw was originally released in 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It features Juliet Starling (voiced by Tara Strong), a cheerleader zombie hunter fighting zombies in a fictional California high school, and the game was a collaboration between game designer Suda51 and filmmaker James Gunn (best known for the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker).

In Part 1 The Teal Mask, players take a school trip to the land of Kitakami, where they join an outdoor study program held jointly between their academy and another school. Players can look forward to meeting Pokemon not found in the Paldea region while unearthing the mysteries behind an old Kitakami folktale.

In addition, players can look forward to a special in-game event, Get Mew & Mewtwo!, which will take place in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, marking the debut of the Mythical Pokemon Mew and the Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo in the Paldea region. From today to 18 September 2023, players can add Mew to their team by entering the password GETY0URMEW in the Mystery Gift menu. In addition, a special Tera Raid Battle event will take place between 31 August 2023 and 17 September 2023. In this event, players can challenge and catch a Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are available now for Switch.

There will allegedly be five sets as follows:

These sets will apparently in released sometime in March 2024. However, no other details have emerged. It’s best to take all this with a grain of salt and wait for the official announcement; if it does turn out to be real.

This initiative aims to elevate Australia’s creative output, including studios and developers who will each receive a share of the fund to aid the production and development of their upcoming games. In addition to AU$2.4 million provided to individual developers, they have also allocated AU$600,000 to two First Nations-led game studios.

• Tempopo (QLD) – ‘From Witch Beam Games, the studio behind Unpacking, comes the wholesome puzzle game Tempopo where players rescue musical flowers across sky islands.’
  Tempus Rail (SA) – ‘This story-rich, first-person, roguelike deck builder set in the Wild West on a train travelling through a temporal rift.’

As of today, 646 exhibitors, including 389 from Japan and 257 from overseas, will participate in TGS 2023 with 2629 exhibition booths. The sales of general admission tickets for Japanese residents and TGS Supporters Club Tickets with benefits will start from noon, 8 July 2023 (Saturday), Japan Standard Time (JST.) Ticket sales for overseas visitors will start on 26 July 2023. No fee is required for elementary school children and younger. At TGS 2023, the Family Game Park and the Cosplay area will come back for the first time in four years. Moreover, this year’s event will invite popular influencers and video creators selected after the screening in advance to the venue on Business Day 2 (candidates need to fulfil the entry requirements and pay a registration fee).
