TFT is an eight-person, free-for-all strategy game where players combine League of Legends (LoL) champions and items in different formations on a grid-shaped game board, competing in a highly social battle against seven other opponents by building a team to be the last one standing.

Since launching in 2019, TFT has emerged as the top contender in the genre by providing a fun and deep chess-like gameplay experience for all types of players on multiple platforms. Fans of TFT on PC as well as mobile gamers across APAC will now be able to register their interest for the launch of TFT Mobile through the pre-registration microsite and their local Google Play Store from today onwards. More news will be released about pre-registration for players on the App Store and in Vietnam at a later time.

This impending launch marks the introduction of Riot’s third self-published mobile title in APAC, joining Legends of Runeterra and League of Legends: Wild Rift in its stable of mobile game offerings.

Designed with mobile gamers in mind, TFT Mobile will offer features and systems optimized for mobile devices, along with cross-play between the PC and mobile versions.

Players who pre-register for TFT Mobile from today onwards can look forward to a plethora of in-game rewards, including highly sought-after items that will be available to claim when the game finally launches in the region.

Building on the legacy of the Modern Warfare series, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is the direct sequel to the record-breaking Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Pitching itself as an approachable, third-person multiplayer open-world survival craft game with a key focus on pushing player creativity over violence, The Signal is Goose Byte’s contribution to moving the genre forward.

The Signal – which is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 for unspecified consoles and PC – is built upon the three key pillars of exploration, invention, and survival. With a focus on user-generated crafting content, the game’s unique recipe-sharing system and sustainability theme set it apart from the wealth of quality titles operating in this space.

2023 has been a fantastic year for PS5 so far, with plenty of games to keep players entertained, including recently released blockbuster titles like Hogwarts Legacy and Final Fantasy 16, as well as virtual reality experiences like Horizon Call Of The Mountain, Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village on PlayStation VR2, PlayStation’s newest virtual reality headset.

Legacy

In the movie, Xolo Mariduena gives a great portrayal of Jaime Reyes AKA Blue Beetle himself. I knew he had potential (from watching him as Miguel in the Netflix Cobra Kai series) and this role proves that he has the charismatic chops to be a lead actor in a movie. His performance is complemented by the rest of the supporting characters who are his family members in the movie. The Latinx culture and their unique family dynamics are well-represented in this movie, and that distinguishes it from other generic family-oriented superhero movies. That being said, it’s also the Reyes family members who fall into the ‘convenient plot devices’ issue of the movie, which is where the movie sort of gets a light-hearted Spy Kids-like vibe that might be divisive.

The biggest highlight of the movie is Blue Beetle himself in action. The CGI for the suit and effects look amazing, especially for a movie that was slated to be a streaming exclusive at one point in the past. Comics fans will love how comic-accurate this depiction of Blue Beetle is in terms of how he moves and uses his powers. I also won’t lie, it looks awesome. If there’s one thing that the DCEU has consistently done better than the MCU, that’s the live-action design of superhero costumes. The best thing about this particular version of Blue Beetle in the comics has always been how versatile his alien armour is, similar to how Marvel’s symbiotes work, and we see a lot of that in the movie. It’s more than just an Iron Man-like suit that flies and shoots lasers, so I’m happy to see that.

The biggest problem with Blue Beetle is that it feels a bit too formulaic, following a lot of the same beats and tropes of superhero movies from the early 2000s. It also features many convenient plot devices that don’t make too much sense. As a comic book fan, I also dislike how the movie glosses over the Blue Beetle legacy (and disrespects it by adding unnecessary characters like Victoria Kord and Jenny Kord) and how it uses the name of a prominent DC Comics character (a Jack Kirby creation) as a placeholder for one of its main antagonists (sadly, I can’t spoil who it is).

One of the weakest aspects of the movie is its villains, who are not only forgettable but also follow the same old ‘powers must mirror the hero’ trope (like General Zod and Superman, Iron Man and Iron Monger, Ant-Man and Yellowjacket, etc.). Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord is bland and so is Raoul Max Trujillo as Conrad Carapax. I’m also sorry to disappoint Blue Beetle fans who are looking forward to a movie with more alien elements, but the movie doesn’t really explore all that. DC is probably saving all that for potential sequels but the movie doesn’t even mention the Reach once (comic fans will know what I mean).

A New DC Hero

Blue Beetle is a surprisingly enjoyable movie that a lot of families and younger viewers will be able to enjoy. It has its problems that comics fans and others will probably nitpick on but at the end of the day, Blue Beetle is a decent origin movie and introduction to a DC legacy character whose proper live-action debut has been long overdue (no, that horrible Smallville appearance doesn’t count).

The game teaches you most of what you need to finish your missions, but here are some tips and tricks that you can check out before playing the game. These are spoiler-free, so we won’t be spoiling any of the story elements. In the meantime, head on over to our full review of the game here.

Don’t Forget To Always Use The Memory Mechanic AKA Quick-Save AKA Save Scumming

It’s an integral mechanic in the game, and while the game already has a feature where it reminds players to use it from time to time, it’s best to quick-save as often as possible. There’s no limit to the Memory saves, so it’s there for you to abuse it. As a tip, try to quick-save every single time you’ve killed an enemy, or just before you’re about to execute a complicated plan. It’s frustrating when you fail to execute a complex plan properly and you’re forced to set it all up again. Remember, it only takes one click to do so in Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.

You Can Actually Run Through Enemy View Cones If You’re Fast Enough

Yeah, you don’t need to be crouching and sneaking all the time. Sometimes, with a little finesse and good timing, you can run through an enemy’s view cone without alerting them. However, keep an eye on the red colour flowing through the enemy view cones in order to time your runs correctly.

Keep A Lookout For Interactable Objects In The Environment, Which Can Be Easily Missable

It’s easy to ignore or miss out on using or interacting with the environmental objects in the game. Some of them are easily missable, such as rocks or boulders that you can push onto enemies, cannons that can shoot and knock them out, stacks of boxes that can crush your enemies, and more. So, pay attention to what’s available around you.

Try To Use Different Characters On Each Mission

There’s usually nothing stopping you from using your same favourite characters on most missions in the game. However, in order to unlock upgrades faster, change them up and use different characters for each mission. Characters who don’t go on missions gain vigour, so when you do use them later, they add more points to unlock the next upgrade.

These Chests Contain Ammo But Are Easy To Miss, And Guns Can Be Helpful In Emergencies

Guns can really help in many situations, where you can dispatch enemies easily from afar. However, the game doesn’t really tell you that you can actually get more ammo during missions. Just look out for boxes/chests like in the picture above, which contain ammo. This is crucial, since you’ll need to rely on guns a lot more in the more complex missions near the endgame.
